Carl Edwards turned the fastest lap in NASCAR Nationwide Series practice Friday afternoon at Watkins Glen International, driving the scenic road course in upstate New York at an average speed of 121.739 mph.
Edwards won the most recent Nationwide road course event, dominating at Road America in June. Brad Keselowski clocked in second with a lap of 121.442 mph.
Road course veteran Ron Fellows was third followed by Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick. NASCAR Nationwide qualifying is set for 9 am Saturday. MORE NASCAR NEWS
