Brad Keselowski set the quick time in NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying at Michigan International Speedway earlier today and followed that up with a stellar performance despite clutch problems and a trip to Victory Lane.
Keselowski took the lead with less than ten laps to go and held off fellow Cup regulars Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch. Justin Allgaier was the highest finishing Nationwide regular in fourth and Paul Menard ended up fifth.
The race was the second race for the new Nationwide Series car and it was the fourth victory for Keselowski this season. Keselowski currently holds the series points lead by 347 points over Edwards. Busch is third in the standings and Allgaier was fourth, mirroring the finishing order. Next week, NASCAR's second-tier division will take on the high banks of Bristol in the Food City 250 on Friday. The race is scheduled to broadcast on ESPN at 7pm. MORE NASCAR NEWS
