NASCAR Nationwide Series drivers received two three-hour practice sessions Thursday as they prepare for Friday night's COT race at Richmond International Raceway.
Clint Bowyer produced the fastest lap in the morning practice at 122.416 mph in the 21 RCR Chevrolet. Denny Hamlin was second with a lap of 122.150 mph, followed by Brad Keselowski, Kevin Harvick and Aric Almirola.
Carl Edwards led the afternoon session, driving the No. 60 Roush Fenway Ford around the .750-mile oval at 120.811 mph. Denny Hamlin posted the second fastest lap at 120.773 mph, with Brad Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Justin Allgaier completing the top-five. Nationwide Series Happy Hour is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday. The Virginia College Savings 250 is set to begin on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. Friday evening. MORE NASCAR NEWS
