Roger Penske confirmed Saturday that Sam Hornish, Jr. will run at least 10 NASCAR Nationwide Series events in 2011, according to FoxSports.
Chad Walters has been selected as crew chief for the Penske Nationwide team. Penske also confirmed the points from the No. 77 car will be used by Stephen Wallace for his Sprint Cup Series debut at Daytona next month. Wallace will have a guaranteed starting position in the Daytona 500 as a result.
Hornish drove the No. 77 Penske Dodge for the past three seasons and earned two top-five finishes. The 31-year-old former IndyCar champion will start the 2011 Nationwide season in the DRIVEFORCOPD 300 at Daytona in February. This article was edited at 9:53 pm January 15, 2011 MORE NASCAR NEWS
