Carl Edwards won the pole for this afternoon's Sam's Town 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, turning in a fast lap of 181.824 mph.

This is Edward's twenty-second career pole in 214 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. 

Kyle Busch starts on the outside of the front row after posting a lap at 181.616 mph.  Ricky Stenhouse Jr. starts third, Kevin Harvick fourth and Mark Martin fifth. 

Elliot Sadler, Trevor Bayne, Reed Sorenson, Denny Hamlin, and Justin Allgaier complete the top-10. 

The Sam's Town 300 will be televised live Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET on ABC.
