Elliott Sadler edged KHI teammate Clint Bowyer by 0.06 seconds in Friday's qualifying session at Talladega Superspeedway to win the pole for Saturday's Aaron's 312 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.
Sadler recorded a lap at 179.558 mph to claim his seventh career Nationwide pole win. "It's cool to see Clint and me on the front row," Sadler said.
Bowyer posted a lap of 179.373 mph and starts second followed by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jamie McMurray and Trevor Bayne.
Carl Edwards, Joey Logano, Michael Annett, Jason Leffler and Aric Almirola line up sixth through 10th, respectively.
The Aaron's 312 is set for a 3 p.m. ET. start on Saturday.
