Nationwide qualifying was rained out at Iowa Speedway Saturday afternoon and the 43-car starting field for Sunday's Iowa John Deere Dealers 250 has been set according to owner points. Drew Herring, driving the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 20, starts from the pole with the No. 18 JGR Toyota of Michael McDowell lining up on the outside of the front row.
Herring and McDowell are making their first NASCAR starts for Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend.
Austin Dillon, Carl Edwards and Reed Sorenson line up third through fifth on Sunday's starting grid.
1990 Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope has two nieces, who are twins, competing in the Iowa John Deere Dealers 250. Angela Cope starts from the 34th position and Amber Cope will start 43rd in tomorrow's race. They will become the first twins to run in the same Nationwide Series event when the green waves.
The Iowa John Deere Dealers 250 will be televised live on ABC at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday.
