Menard Blisters Nationwide Qualifying at MIS

Paul Menard steered the No. 33 KHI Chevrolet to the pole for Saturday's Alliance Truck Parts 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Michigan International Speedway with a lap at 182.030 mph in qualifying earlier today. It is Menard's fist Nationwide pole win and the third of his career.

 

"The car is really fast," said Menard.

 

Sam Hornish posted the second fastest lap at 180.600 mph and starts along side Menard on the front row.

 

Carl Edwards, Aric Almirola and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. will line up third through fifth on today's starting grid.

 

The Alliance Truck Parts 250 will be live on ABC at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon.
