Joey Logano topped the speed chart in NASCAR Nationwide Thursday evening at Daytona International Speedway.  Logano toured the 2.5-mile tri-oval track at 196.164 mph in the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

.

Brad Keselowski clocked in second fastest with a lap at 196.155 mph. Reed Sorenson was third followed by Jason Leffler and Elliot Sadler.

Originally scheduled for two practices, Nationwide drivers got only a lone 45-minute session on Thursday due to rain that affected on-track activities for much of the day.

NASCAR Nationwide series qualifying at Daytona International Speedway begins Friday at 2:10 p.m.
