Joey Logano lead only one lap in Friday night’s Subway Jalapeno 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, but it was the one that counted. With a multi-car crash taking place as the leaders exited turn 4 on the final lap, Logano held off Jason Leffler to claim the victory.
"I got to thank Kyle for pushing me," Logano said. "It's nice to be on the other side of the fence. Usually, I'm the pusher and finish second every time. To be on the other side and get the win here, it's great."
Jason Leffler crossed the line second followed by Reed Sorenson, Kyle Busch and Justin Allgaier.
Danica Patrick had one of her best Nationwide races to date leading 13 laps on her way to a 10th place finish.
Reed Sorenson continues to lead the Nationwide standings with a nine point advantage over Elliot Sadler.
The next stop on the Nationwide Series schedule is Friday July, 8 at Kentucky Motor Speedway.
