With a metal grinding push from his Roush Fenway Racing teammate Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won Saturday night's US Cellular 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race in an unbelievable finish before a packed grandstand of hardcore race fans

Stenhouse and Edwards pulled away from the field and held a spirited battle in the late stages of the 250-mile event with Stenhouse losing an engine exiting turn four on the final lap. As smoke billowed Edwards slammed into the rear of Stenhouse's machine sending the No. 6 Ford across the finish line first.

The 23-year-old Mississippi native made a victory lap on the back of a safety truck as his heavily damaged car sat on the front stretch.

"I was aggressive there at the end, you gotta do what you gotta do to win," Stenhouse said. "I wasn't about to back down."

Stenhouse now has two victories at the 7-8-mile speedway after winning the Nationwide race here in May.

Edwards crossed the line 0.066 seconds behind Stenhose to finish second.

"We didnt plan on doing it like that," said Edwards. "That was spectacular."

Polesitter Elliott Sadler finished third followed by Josh Wise and Aric Almirola.

Stenhouse leaves Iowa with the 2011 Nationwide point lead as the series heads to Watkins Glen, New York.
