Jacques Villeneuve topped the speed chart in Nationwide Series Happy Hour practice at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, the 2.7-mile road course named in honor of his dad. Villeneuve is behind the wheel of the No. 22 Penske Dodge for Saturday's NAPA Auto Parts 200.

The former Formula One champion ran an average speed of 95.404 mph in the car that was driven to victory by Kurt Busch at Watkins Glen last weekend.

Robby Gordon recorded the second fastest lap at 95.194 mph with Owen Kelly, Jason Leffler and Scott Speed.

Road course pro Ron Fellows led opening practice earlier Friday morning with a lap at 95.491 mph.

NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying is set for 5 p.m. ET Friday afternoon.
