Tim Andrews comes from a family that knows the definition of underdog well. The son of Paul Andrews, who served as Alan Kulwick's crew chief in 1992 when NASCAR's most well know underdog captured the 1992 Sprint Cup championship, Tim has been taught well what it will take to succeed in racing's top tier.

Tim's driving career began at the age of 12 when his dad purchased a go-kart from Geoffrey Bodine. Running WKA events for three seasons Andrews moved on to Bandeleros and Legends cars before getting behind the wheel of competitive NASCAR Late Model Stock Cars on noted speedway in Virginia and North Carolina.

Andrews appeared on Roush Racing's Driver X television program in 2005 and made the top-12 out of some 2,000 applicants for the driver search competition won by David Ragan.

Fast forward to 2006 Andrews scores a major career victory in the NASCAR K & N Pro Series East at Dover International Speedway prior to running several ARCA races as a development driver for Dodge in 2007.

The 28-year-old up and coming driver made his first Nationwide and Truck Series starts in 2009 and currently drives the No. 42 Key Motorsports Chevrolet in the 2011 Nationwide Series.
