The 200 laps Carl Edwards drove in Saturday's Nationwide race at Homestead-Miami Speedway could benefit the Roush driver as he seeks his first NASCAR Sprint Cup title in today's Ford 400.
"This was very good practice for me," Edwards said after leading the 200-lapper five times for 87 laps. "I got to feel adjustments I got to feel the track change a little bit. I think it’s great practice."
Edwards starts from the pole and with a three point lead on two-time champ Tony Stewart in the final championship deciding race of 2011.
