Keselowski Wins At Michigan From Pole

brad-keselowskiBrad Keselowski set the quick time in NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying at Michigan International Speedway earlier today and followed that up with a stellar performance despite clutch problems and a trip to Victory Lane.

 

Keselowski took the lead with less than ten laps to go and held off fellow Cup regulars Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch. Justin Allgaier was the highest finishing Nationwide regular in fourth and Paul Menard ended up fifth.

Ambrose Dominates Zippo 200

marcus-ambroseMarcos Ambrose dominated Saturday's Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Watkins Glen International to win his third consecutive event at the historic road course in upstate New York.

 

“Just huge for us,” Ambrose said in Victory Lane. "This is really sweet."

 

Ambrose led 60 laps of the 82-lap race and crossed the finish line 2.8 seconds ahead of runnerup finisher Joey Logano.

Marcos Ambrose Polesitter For Zippo 200

marcos-ambroseMarcos Ambrose toured the Watkins Glen International road course at 122.410 mph in qualifying to earn the top starting spot for Saturday's Zippo 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

 

Joey Logano timed in second fastest at 122.046 mph and lines up on the outside of the front row. Logano and Kevin Harvick turned identical times with Logano winning out due to being ahead of Harvick in car owner points.

 

Kevin Harvick starts third, followed by Carl Edwards and Kyle Busch.

Carl Edwards Fastest In Nationwide Practice

carl-edwardsCarl Edwards turned the fastest lap in NASCAR Nationwide Series practice Friday afternoon at Watkins Glen International, driving the scenic road course in upstate New York at an average speed of 121.739 mph.

 

Edwards won the most recent Nationwide road course event, dominating at Road America in June.

 

Brad Keselowski clocked in second with a lap of 121.442 mph.
