jason-meyersJason Meyers earned his $10,000 paycheck Saturday night at the Red River Valley Speedway, passing Craig Dollansky for the final time on lap 25 to take the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A - Main Feature for the 30th time in his career.

Meyers first took command of the eight and one half minute race on lap 10, leading the next 13 circuits until Dollansky passed him in traffic. Meyers slipped by Dollansky with five laps remaining and held on to win the caution free 30 lap thriller.

“I'll tell you what, that was a race,” said Meyers. “I don't know what everyone up (in the crowd) there thought, but, this was incredible. These guys did a heck of a job tonight working on this car. That was an awesome race car. We had a great race with Craig (Dollansky) in traffic. It seemed like we passed some of those car five or six times.”

craig-dollanskyDollansky led a total of 11 laps and finished runnerup in his DirecTV Maxim, his best showing of the 2009 season.

“That was some great racing," Dollansky commented after the race. "I'd sure have loved to have gotten this Kasey Kahne Racing car to Victory Lane tonight. Jason drove a great race and there was a lot of stuff going on in lapped traffic. Some of those cars we passed three and four times. My hat is off to Jason, he did a great job.”

Jac Haudenschild started on the pole for the third time this season and wound up third. It was his third pole of the year and his fifth top five finish of 2009.
