danny-lasoskiDanny Lasoski picked up his 83rd career World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A - Main Feature win Sunday night at the high banked 3/8 mile Nodak Speedway in Minot, North Dakota.

The 2001 Outlaws champion started the 30 lap contest from the fourth position and moved to second on lap eight. Lasoski chased down polesitter Joey Saldana and passed him for the lead on lap 24. Lasoski pulled away and crossed the finish line three seconds ahead of runnerup Saldana.

The win was special for Lasoski, as it marked the first time car owner Lonnie Parsons was present to see him win, allowing them their first opportinity to share the victory lane celebration together.

“I want to thank this man standing right here, Lonnie Parsons for giving me the opportunity to drive this great car,” said Lasoski in Victory Lane, as he gave his car owner a big hug. “He certainly deserved that. Thank you Lonnie for letting me run this car. He told me to meet him out here (in Victory Lane) before the race.”

joey-saldanaSaldana started out strong, capturing the pole and leading 23 laps of the race on his way to a second place finish.

“I don't know what happened,” said Saldana. “We pumped all the oil out of it and I couldn't see and I couldn't pull any tear-offs, but there's no excuses. I could sit here and make excuses all night. We just got beat.”
