Two-time NHRA Funny Car champion Cruz Pedregon got behind the wheel of his No. 75 Dirt Late Model to participate in the 2009 World of Outlaws World Finals at the Dirt Track at Lowe’s Motor Speedway last weekend.
Pedregon currently sits 12th in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Funny Car division and on his off weekend before the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals November 12th through the 15th in Pomona, Ca., he decided to get more dirt racing in before the end of the 2009 season.
Earlier this year, Pedregon earned his first dirt late model victory at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, In. and finished 6th in the 5th annual Gillette Young Guns Prelude to the Dream at Eldora Speedway.
Now that the World Finals are over, he will certainly turn his focus back to his Funny Car for the NHRA Finals this weekend but Pedregon will be back on dirt for some races next year.
