cody-darrahMany World of Outlaws drivers are prepared to get behind the wheel of a race car for the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.

The annual off-season competition scheduled for January 12th through the 16th will feature drivers including Jason Meyers, Joey Saldana, Danny “The Dude” Lasoski and Cody Darrah.

Meyers and Saldana, who finished 2nd and 3rd in the 2009 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series points respectively, will once again try their hand in the race. This will be Meyers’ fifth appearance at the Chili Bowl and it will be the third for Saldana.

Young Darrah will drive a family-owned car for his second appearance in the event before the 2009 Outlaws season kicks off in which he will be a contender for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award.

Lasoski will make his 19th appearance at the event held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has finished 2nd three times but has never taken home the victory.
