joey-saldanaCome the 2010 season, Kasey Kahne Racing will again have a two car team to battle amongst the tough competition in the World of Outlaws. Joey Saldana returns as the most winning driver of the 2009 season with 20 A-Feature wins for his fifth season with Kasey Kahne Racing. The team adds a rookie to the line up by the name of Cody Darrah who took a win in his family owned car at his home track of Williams Grove Speedway last fall.

The team will kick off their 2010 season with the 39th Annual Florida DIRTcar Nationals by the University of Northwestern Ohio at Volusia Speedway Park.

“I'm definitely ready,” said Saldana of starting the season. “This is the first time in eight years that I have not raced through Christmas."

Saldana took a victory on the second night of the DIRTcar Nationals last year, overcoming Jason Sides on the last lap. He also had a last lap thriller back in 2006 at the DIRTcar Nationals in which he won over Jac Haudenschild.cody-darrah

Darrah will run his first full season in the World of Outlaws and is going to contend for the Kevin Gobrecht Rookie of the Year Award, which Saldana won during his first full season back in 1996.

“I'm very excited for the season,” said Darrah. “It's going to be a very big year for me as a driver and a very big year for our team Kasey Kahne Racing. “
In Darrah’s nine starts at Volusia Speedway Park he has qualified fourth or better in six of them.

The World of Outlaws season opens with events on Friday February 5th through Sunday February 7th.
