Thursday, 18 March 2010 07:23

kasey-kahneNASCAR star Kasey Kahne is heavily involved in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, owning two Sprint Car teams and promoting a mini series of four WoO events this season including Kasey’s King of Bulls Gap Presented By Budweiser set for Friday and Saturday nights at the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap. Tennessee. Kahne has now decided to compete in both World of Outlaws races this weekend in addition to competing in the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series events at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday and Sunday.

“I’ve really been looking forward to this race and I figured why not race in it too,” said Kahne. “Bulls Gap is an awesome racetrack and I’m excited for Friday night. I haven’t raced a Sprint Car since last year and this will be my first Outlaws race in a few years. It will be cool to have four KKR cars competing this weekend.”

In addition to Kahne, current World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series point leader Joey Saldana along with Paul McMahan and Brad Sweet will be piloting Kasey Kahne Racing entries at Volunteer Speedway.

Kasey’s King of Bulls Gap Presented By Budweiser will start the four-race Showdown for the Bud Crown. The third event of the mini series promoted by Kahne is set for June 16 Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Mo., with the finale scheduled to take place on July 8 in the Chicago area. A champion and the top three overall finishers will be honored at the conclusion of the four race series.

The Volunteer Speedway is located within a 45 minute drive from the Bristol Motor Speedway on Interstate 81 at Exit 23 in Bulls Gap, Tennessee.
