Sammy Swindell led from start to finish in dominating Thursday night's A-Main at the Knoxville Raceway, night No. 2 of the 50th Annual Knoxville Nationals.

Swindell held off a late race challenge from Donny Schatz, who had a tire going down and faded to fifth during the green-white-checkered finish.

Brian Brown finished second, followed by Skip Jackson, Stevie Smith and Donny Schatz.

Dale Blaney, Paul McMahan, Dusty Zomer, Greg Hodnett and Daryn Pittman rounded out the top-ten.

An estimated crowd of 19,000 hardcore race fans were on hand Thursday night.

Racing resumes at the Knoxville Raceway Friday for night no. 3 of the Knoxville Nationals.
